Building a lake home means making plenty of decisions along the way. For these homeowners in Orr, Minnesota, having experienced people to turn to made choosing materials and finishes a positive part of the process.
Cook Building Center was proud to be part of this project alongside contractor Sandberg Construction & Property Management and architect Hiner Home Designs LLC. But the best way to share the story is to let the homeowners tell it.
“We worked with Cook Building Center, a great family-owned business, to build our lake house in Orr, Minnesota. Eric was wonderful to work with! We were able to meet on a regular basis to choose materials and finishes as the project progressed.”
Those regular meetings gave the homeowners time to work through their choices as the house took shape. From building materials to the finishes that make a home feel like your own, being able to ask questions and compare options makes a difference.
Finding the Right Materials for the Home
The homeowners wanted a sustainable, efficient home without giving up the design and appearance they had in mind. Eric and the Cook Building Center staff helped them explore options from a variety of vendors.
“Eric and staff were very knowledgeable and experienced with numerous vendors and could offer various choices to build a sustainable, efficient and Eco friendly structure without compromising design or aesthetics.”
Every home project comes with its own priorities. For this one, the material selection process brought together the homeowners’ goals for efficiency, sustainability and design.
